چکیده

The aim of this research was to investigate the effect non-invasive dermal electroporation (EP) on barrier function skin and permeation a model macromolecule in combination with different formulations. Skin samples were treated EP treatment for 2 min. Firstly, examined mouse vivo by measuring transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Then, human investigated ex under fluorescence microscope solution, hydrogel, film-forming system (FFS) containing 4 kDa fluorescein isothiocyanate-dextran (FITC-dextran) or without EP. increased intensity shows presence FITC-dextran layers. results showed, that TEWL values rapidly after treatment, it took approximately 5 min be restored. experiments showed just slight could noticed from any formulation EP; however, solution FFS highly decreased reversibly structure SC restored short time treatment. FITC-dextran, as macromolecule, can slightly permeate into passive diffusion. increase rate remarkably compared control treatments; composition formulations has great influence permeation. • reversible function, is enhancer measured microscopy Electroporation

A novel non-invasive radiofrequency dermal heating device for skin tightening of the face and neck.

BACKGROUND Loose, lax skin is a common cosmetic complaint. Previous non-invasive skin tightening devices had modest efficacy and were associated with pain or downtime. New technologies may allow for effective skin tightening with a series of radiofrequency (RF) treatments with no downtime. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel bipolar RF device for skin tightening. METHOD...

Dermal Stability and In Vitro Skin Permeation of Collagen Pentapeptides (KTTKS and palmitoyl-KTTKS)

Collagen pentapeptide (Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser, KTTKS) and its palmitoylated derivative (pal-KTTKS) have received a great deal of attention as cosmeceutical ingredients for their anti-wrinkle effects. The objective of this study was to evaluate stability and permeability of KTTKS and pal-KTTKS in hairless mouse skin. In this study, a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric method was develo...

Influence of Chemical Permeation Enhancers on the in vitro Skin Permeation of Minoxidil through Excised Rat Skin: A Mechanistic Study

Abstract: Minoxidil, a pyrimidine derivative (2, 4-diamino-6-piperidinopyrimidine-3-oxide) is the only topical medical treatment with proven efficacy for the treatment of Androgenetic alopecia that shown low skin penetration and bioavailability. The main aim of this research was to investigate the effect of some permeation enhancers on the in vitro skin permeability of minoxidil . Minoxid...
